Customer and Brand Loyalty: The Survey Says
Back in April, BrandSpark announced the results from its annual Most Trusted Awards, the Canadian edition, and we thought that it was high time we check them out! How loyal are Canadians, and who are they loyal to?
First, the winners in the retail category:
Some of the survey’s findings:
- 66% of Canadian shoppers will try something new from a brand that already has their trust.
- 74% of shoppers said they try to purchase their most trusted brands when they are on sale versus purchasing the generic or store brand versions.
- When it comes to trust, shoppers are most concerned about baby and pet products.
- When it comes to items such as cheese, vitamins and shampoo, 40% of shoppers prefer their top brands.
What do customers want? According to the survey, “Consumers trust brands that respond to problems quickly and transparently, and those they perceive as fair and ethical. While some shoppers will look for support of charitable causes; many perceive respect for the consumer in a fair consistent price.” They are also looking for innovation and eco-friendly products.
These numbers are based on the top of mind responses of more than 45,000 respondents, reflecting the profile of the Canadian household shopper, in 133 categories in which they purchase. Find more on the survey results here: http://www.brandsparkmosttrusted.com/2016winners_cdn.html.
